About Vanessa Ramos, M.D.
Dr. Vanessa Ramos is a Chesapeake, Virginia native who is proud to care for patients in the Hampton Roads community she has always called home. Having grown up and completed her medical training in the area, she finds it especially meaningful to build her career serving the community that helped shape who she is today.
Dr. Ramos believes healthy skin begins with prevention, education, and individualized care. She takes a collaborative approach to treatment, making it a priority for patients to feel comfortable, heard, and involved in decisions about their care. Her goal is for every patient to feel confident not only in their treatment plan, but also in their skin.
Her own experiences with skin concerns growing up helped inspire her passion for dermatology and gave her an understanding of how significantly skin conditions can affect a person’s quality of life and self-confidence. She enjoys caring for patients of all ages and appreciates the breadth of dermatology, from preventive skin cancer screenings to the diagnosis and management of complex medical skin conditions. She especially values the opportunity to build lasting relationships with her patients.
Coming from a military family, Dr. Ramos has a strong appreciation for the diverse Hampton Roads community and the many military families who call the region home.
Outside of the office, Dr. Ramos enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, painting, and exploring her interest in home design and decorating. A self-described foodie, she also loves discovering new restaurants. When she’s at home, she can often be found spending time with her Chihuahua.
