About Rachel Ellis, M.D.
Before attending medical school, Dr. Ellis completed 8 years of active duty as a Naval Flight Officer. During her flying career, she completed both a transatlantic and transpacific flight in the Super Hornet. She amassed over 1,500 flight hours and more than 200 arrested landings on five different aircraft carriers.
After graduating from the US Naval Academy, Dr. Ellis attended Eastern Virginia Medical School and then completed her residency at the McGovern Medical School at UT Health in Houston, TX.
Dr. Ellis enjoys all aspects of dermatology and specializes in treating patients of all ages. She has a wide range of interests including travel, fitness, integrated health, and human performance and recovery. She is a CrossFit Level 1 instructor and yoga teacher (RYT 200) and resides in Virginia Beach with her husband, daughter, and Husky mix, Nyla.
