About Catherine Brahe, M.D.
Dr. Catherine Brahe graduated summa cum laude from the College of William & Mary and earned her medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine as a Health Professions Scholarship Program (HPSP) scholar for the U.S. Navy Medical Corps. She completed her Transitional Year Internship at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, where she was honored as Transitional Year Intern of the Year.
Dr. Brahe went on to serve as Battalion Surgeon for the 3rd Battalion, 6th Marines at Camp Lejeune, NC. During her two-year tour, she earned her Fleet Marine Force qualification, completed cold-weather mountain warfare training in Bridgeport, California, and deployed to Norway—all while navigating the complexities of the COVID-19 pandemic. For her outstanding service, she was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal.
She then pursued specialty training in dermatology at Naval Medical Center San Diego, where she was promoted from Lieutenant to Lieutenant Commander and served as chief resident in her final year.
Currently, Dr. Brahe is an active duty staff dermatologist at Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune. She is also proud to serve her hometown community in Williamsburg, Virginia, where she works part-time with Pariser Dermatology Specialists at our Williamsburg office.
Dr. Brahe lives in Eastern North Carolina with her husband, an active duty Marine, their children, and a lively crew of pets. Outside of work, she enjoys cheering on her two sons at the baseball field, spending time with her paint quarter horse Sunny at the barn, and playing fetch with her three dogs—Brewster, Rip, and Liberty.
