One of the first questions I was asked when I became the Administrator at Pariser Dermatology almost 2 years ago was “Will you allow us to dress up for Halloween?” Of course my answer was “Yes! Who doesn’t like Halloween?!” Well, little did I know that Halloween is a big deal at Pariser – and I mean a BIG deal!
You see, almost everyone participates and plans their costumes and decorations for months in advance in “top secret” meetings. These meetings result in some of the best costumes and props I have ever seen, especially in the workplace. And of course, we make it all the more fun with a friendly competition.
You might wonder if this interferes with workplace productivity and the answer is Yes – it does. But I believe it is for the greater cause of team building. Work can be boring, stressful and sometimes no fun at all. Therefore, I believe it’s important to allow employees to have a little fun, explore their creative side and engage with their coworkers in a playful and positive way.
So if you come see us on Halloween, be prepared to be greeted by a team of fun, creative and highly dedicated employees. Our costumes will amaze you!
