The ideal candidates have prior dermatology experience. Candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to build a strong rapport with providers and patients. Candidates must also be able to travel on a set schedule to our Norfolk and Newport News offices.

Job description:

• Greet patients and accompany them to the examination room
• Prepare rooms and trays
• Check patients out
• Turn over room when patients are checked out
• Take Mohs tissue to the on site lab
• Draw up syringes and cut bandages

Job requirements:

• Previous experience as a medical assistant is required
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Excellent interpersonal skills; friendly and engaging self-starter that works well in high pressure situations
• Ability to problem solve in a strong, confident manner
• Experience with electronic medical record systems
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
