Candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to build a strong rapport with providers and patients.
Job description:
• Prepare rooms and trays
• Greet patients and accompany them to the examination room
• Triage patients to include documenting medical history information, medication list, allergies and reason for visit
• Assist the physician with treatment and procedures
• Provide patient with any required information such as post procedure and wound care instructions
• Initiating or returning calls to patients as needed
• Cleaning and restocking examination rooms
Job requirements:
• Previous experience in dermatology a plus
• Previous experience as a medical assistant is required
• Knowledge of medical terminology is required
• Excellent interpersonal skills; friendly and engaging self-starter that works well in high pressure situations
• Ability to problem solve in a strong, confident manner
• Experience with electronic medical record systems is required
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Exceptional customer service and phone etiquette

Medical Assistant (Special Surgery Department)

Job description:
- Greet patients and accompany them to the examination room
- Prepare rooms and trays
- Check patients out
- Turn over room when patients are checked out
- Take Mohs tissue to the on site lab
- Draw up syringes and cut bandages
