About Kristen Rafols, M.D.
Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Dr. Kristen Rafols joined Pariser Dermatology Specialists after having spent four years as the Chief of Dermatology at McDonald Army Health Center in Fort Eustis, Virginia. In 2012-2013, Dr. Rafols also served as the Operation Enduring Freedom Theater Consultant for Dermatology in Bagram, Afghanistan. She has been published in several peer-reviewed journals with research interests that include the use of simulation in dermatologic surgical training for which she received an award from the Military Simulation Science Committee.
In her free time, Dr. Rafols enjoys spending time with her family and taking advantage of all that Virginia has to offer. She resides in Poquoson with her husband, her two young sons, and Captain, their Belgian Malinois.
