What Are Facial Injectables? By Dr Ashley Reed

Pariser Dermatology’s Dr. Ashley Reed talks about facial injectables and why you might want to consider getting them.  They can make you look like you’ve had a good night’s sleep by erasing facial lines and wrinkles, slightly lifting your brows or softening “crow’s feet” beside your eyes.  Injectables are broken down into two basic types:  toxins and fillers.  Brand names Botox, Disport and Xeomin are all neurotoxins which, when injected into the muscles, will relax the muscle responsible for creating lines and wrinkles.  Fillers correct facial volume loss and correct facial asymmetry.  Fillers such as those made by Juvederm and Belotero are made of hyaluronic acid gel — a substance that is naturally found in the human body.

Dr. Reed uses her background in studio art to study her patient’s face and the way they express themselves to personalize the best plan for each patient to achieve a natural result.
